Boron nitride is very sensitive to the humidity of the surrounding environment. Therefore, the boats should be stored in their original vacuum-packed containers until installation. Should the package be broken, they can be stored in an environmentally controlled setting or desiccator cabinet. A drying cycle is well advised if the boats have had time to absorb humid air.
For maximum life, please keep a minimum number of heating and cooling cycles. Start-stop cycles will subject the material to cyclic expansion and contraction, thus shortening the life of the material.
